Has anyone tried "deep freeze?

Game Resolution Causing It to Freeze?

  • I have been attempting to play Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning the past week I have had it (on PC). How ever the game would constantly freeze, then go to a black screen, I tried everything under the sun to work out why this was happening and finally realized it only would freeze and go black when I would change the resolution of the game to fit my monitor. I have a 22 inch monitor and the game runs on a low resolution causing it to be very squished, and when I set it to my monitors resolution it starts freaking out and freezing etc. And the ONLY way to fix this is to completely remove the game and do a reinstall. Setting the resolution back to the small size doesn't even help. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Because it Tech support is being no help at all.

the first thing to do would be updating your video card drivers, in fact all your drivers. also update direct x and windows, also check for any game updates or patches. EDIT can you post the make and model of your motherboard, sound card, video card ,your version of windows, and how much ram you have.
