How To Unlock T528g?

Help, how to unlock a 97' Mercedes Benz E420?

  • Okay so i just had this Mercedes for a lil over a week and it seems like the lock/unlock isnt working to well especailly the driver's door sensor. I have to unlock by pointing the little control to the trunk sensor. But it looks like that has just now failed. And now i cant unlock my car! The only key entry i c on the door is on the passenger side but when i stick the key and turn either way it doesnt unlock anything!? I tried many things but no luck. How can i unlock my car?

  • Answer:

Look at the top of the key (where the blade) while holding down the button. In that little clear piece beside the key you will see a red light flash once after holding down the button for about a second. If it does not flash, it means the remote battery is dead and needs to be changed. If it is still flashes, the problem is with the IR system in the vehicle and the problem needs to be inspected by a technician. As for the mechanical lock cylinders, they have a tendency to dry out and seize because people never use them. Spray some lock lubricant in there and maybe it will free it up (probably not but worth a try at least). If it does free up, make sure to use the key in the lock cylinder every now-and-then and keep it lubricated so it does remain usable in the future.

If you have roadside assistance through your cell phone or auto insurance policy, call them. Then take your car to an auto shop and have them fix it.

Change the battery in the "little control". It's probably dead or very weak.

try the blade key in the trunk tumbler
