I am trying to decide which two cities are nice to live in WA Puyallup, WASHINGTON,Olympia, Washington?

Olympia has more cultural things to do and has an active counterculture, besides being on the water. Puyallup is landlocked and more on the fringe of the urban area. I'd choose Olympia, but I live in a rural area that I like better than either of them.
