Transferring college credits from the US to the Philippines?
-
Would I be able to transfer my US college credits to any college in the Philippines? I keep hearing the following from people: - Only high ranked colleges such as UST, UP (I think), and DLSU will consider credits abroad. - I would have to go to the Department of Education and validate my credits. - The registrar in my college will have to validate the credits by looking at the course description of the courses. I honestly think talking to the college registrar is a waste of time because they always tell me the same thing but never do anything to help me out with transferring credits and I feel like wasting my time. SO I wonder if the DOE will help me out. Ok, I'll just ask my registrar personally and consider going to the DOE myself and see what happens. That's what a co-worker of mine said. I didn't ask for anyone to show bias in their answers (though this is Yahoo Answers so I should have expected people to show bias). The point isn't about how valid a degree is in the Philippines. Anyone smart enough knows that a college degree from the Philippines is worthless in the US. Employers will look at experience and skillset....the degree will show perseverance and the fact that you are formally educated. The question wasn't asking how valid a Philippine college degree is if a person were to go to work in the US. The question asked how to transfer US college units to the Philippines. I have no intention of going to the US and working (at least not for a long time...I'm not rushing to go back). I have other plans.

That's rich... coming from someone who cannot even spell "independent" correctly. (Yeah, independant... I'm talking to you, dumbass) If there are any graduates to or experts in dumbing down here... it's him. "Collage" - n. a form of art in which various materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric are arranged and stuck to a backing. (---> implying that dumbed-down people are dumb.... duuuuhhrrrrr) @Independant - LOL, all empty threats and insults. You poor little pathetic child. Try harder, boy.

No. Anything worth anything in the States is worth roughly 43 -45 times in the PI.(Check the exchange rate) That would put you over Einstein in the PI educational system. From the info you have given, you qualify as Dean of any PI Uni just to start. What do you want to study ? The art of dumbing down ? LATER. Not that Im really bothered but Aussie English is a tad different to Yank spelling but as Yanks are so arrogant they think EVERYTHING has to be done their way, my name spelling is correct--here in our grammar. The Final Act is also the Final Evidence of Yank piggery in that as long as it is American it's ok and anything else inferior. Get a load of them when they are threatened, even in a silly chat forum like this they become like scared but spiteful children.

Do not even think about it. When you return to the US to work they will not recognize your Philippine Collage degree. You will have to take more credits in the US for that.
