Are Frontage Skateboard Trucks good?

Skateboard Deck with longboard trucks and wheels in "standard position"?

  • ok, so I'm looking to make a board for cruising but rather than modify where the trucks go I'm just wondering if you can put Longboard Trucks in the same position as the regular trucks normally go on a regular skateboard deck? I'm going to be running Independent Trucks (183mm's with a 10" axle) and 70mm Goldcoast Shred Boots Longboard wheels rated at 83a with Bones Reds bearings. It'll have some spacers to try and keep the deck off the wheels as well. My question is, will this work for some light carving and a lot of cruising?

  • Answer:

Indy 215 (183mm) would be huge on a regular skate deck. You should get Indy 169. Goldcoast does not make good wheels. You should look at some Abec11 Flashbacks or Sector 9 Butterballs.
