What is a ball park price these days for painter's to do one large room, just average in a condo?

And the phone book (what is THAT) has SO many it is difficult know where to start. I was looking for someone HELPFULL who might be able to give me a price range so that i would know if they were asking too much or really cheap.   you do realize that anwers is full of people from all over the entire world right! look in the phone book, your local newspaper...there will be many that advertise. you can also ask friends and family that actually live in your local area. prices for things vary all over the world too so i can't even really give you a ball park figure.
