I have to do a monologue of a Skellig character as well for my English assessment but I'm doing coot (Micheal's friend) Maybe start of with saying 'I knew Mina would be different as soon as she was born, I knew she was going to be different from other children her age' and then maybe explain why 'you' (Mrs McKee) chose to homeschool Mina... Just an idea, well good luck in your monologue!!! :)

Depending on what point it comes at in the play, you might want to start by recalling an event, describing the scenery, describing an emotion. You can start with an expressive sound like a scream, a sniffle or a sigh.
