What's the best medicine for diarrhea?

Whats wrong with me.?

  • This has been going on for a while now, but for the past month or so everytime i eat like within minutes my stomach feels like its burning or cramping really bad. I use the bathroom and once im done i feel like i havent eaten anything. I dont throw up or have diarrhea and im not constipated so i dont know whats wrong, and it makes me nervous, i dont take medicine and i havent tried anything, im really confused and kinda scared. Does anyone know what this could be?

This question is impossible to answer without knowing what you eat, past history, etc. I have a sensitive stomach that burns/cramps very badly, but I found out it's just sensitive. That means anything acidic (on an empty stomach, anyway) or causing acid will upset it. This includes: cola, coffee, tea, orange juice, hot peppers, eggs, alcohol. . . you get the idea? This is regular stuff people have all the time and it makes me double over in pain. My first suggestion is to try eating things that are very, very easy to digest -- bread, rice, pasta, vegetables. Stay away from anything heavy (like eggs or red meat) or acidic (like fruit juice or soft drinks). It should take you less than a day to find out. The simplest answer is usually the most likely. If you eat easy-to-digest food and feel fine, odds are you just have a sensitive stomach (which can develop as late as your 20s). A change in diet fixes the problem -- it sucks, but at least you know what the problem is. If not, this could be the sign of a serious medical condition, like coeliac disease. Make an appointment with a doctor and keep a food diary of everything -- EVERYTHING. As much detail as possible, and how it made you feel.
