If your really just looking to make a map... then i think that you should work on adobe or something else, if your looking into something interactive try some game engines like Unreal Developer Kit(UDK) which if you need help with I can help make textures for the map which would also require adobe photoshop, for 3-D objects on this map you would need... 3ds max! the best 3D software ever, which I can also help you with, but if you want you can just look at tutorials on these softwares and learn from there! if you need it here's my email:(I don't check it often sorry >.<) [email protected]
