Help With Ebay Problem?

Ebay - PayPal payment/refund problem.Help is much needed !?

  • Hello all. I have been shopping from ebay for some years now and i never had any problems with it until today. About a few hours ago,i purchased a hooded shirt from one US located ebayer (i paid 150 bucks for it) after i made the payment,i received a message from him saying that he doesn't have the item anymore and that he will give me a full refund immediately. He actaully did refund the payment in 5 mins or so.Everything is perfect till here. The real problem starts after now.. I tried to purchase a similar good from another ebayer (Europe located one) and guess what? e bay will not allow me make the purchase.I was like '' what the hell '' i eventually ended up using my wife's credit card to make the payment but i got very suspicious and worried. Right now it's 02.10 am where i am living (I live in Estonia / EU) and i went outside to find the nearest ATM machine to check my statement...and there it was.Although,the person whom i bought the item in the first place have refunded my payment somehow my bank statement shows the amount as '' reserved '' What do you think is going on here ? i am really worrying that they will charge me for something i didn't even purchase.. And the most annoying part in all this is that i don't even know who to consult for help.Ebay,PayPal or my local bank here. Please help me.. Thank you

    A refund will not instantly reappear in your bank account. First check your PayPal account to see if you have a balance there that matches it. If not then it's being processed and won't appear back in your bank for a few days.
