What is a matinee ticket?

What is a PC Matinee ticket in the movies? I want to watch the hunger games!!?

  • So me and my friend are 17 and we want to watch The Hunger Games this Friday in the REGAL-PREMIUM-EXPERIENCE (RPX) theater at 3:50PM. But when I go to pre-order tickets it gives me an option to buy Senior: $12.50 PC Matinee: $12.50 Child: $11.75 We aren't concidered as children as it clearly says that child tickets are 11 and under. We aren't seniors either as is says those are 60 and over. What is the PC Matinee then? I am so so so confused. Please help.     I'm not sure why the PC is there, but "Matinee" means it's shown during the daytime rather than at night. Matinee tickets are usually cheaper than regular evening tickets, your 3:50 time slot would count as a matinee.

I'm not sure why the PC is there, but "Matinee" means it's shown during the daytime rather than at night. Matinee tickets are usually cheaper than regular evening tickets, your 3:50 time slot would count as a matinee.

As a fan of all three books and the movie. I suggest you read the books first. They explain things a lot more and you get a much more vivid look into the story's enviorment than in the movie. Some of the characters that were omitted in the movie are present in the book. And have a strong stomach, these books do tend to get very violent. Which is not surprising that they toned it down in the movie. Just because the movie is out for the first one doesn't mean you can ignore it completely. Read it and watch the movie. And then compare which do you like better.
