What do you basically do in Business Studies?

Considering choosing business studies for my GCSE but I don't understand what the topics are 10 Points Help?

  • So I'm considering taking "Business studies" for my GCSE but i'm not quite sure. The course explanation says - Unit 1 - Setting up a Business (external examination) 40% of GCSE Unit 2 - Growing as a Business (external examination) 35% of GCSE Unit 3 - Investigating Businesses (controlled assessment) 25% of GCSE During the course you will make contact with businesses through visits and guess speakers to assist you with your studies and to increase your awareness of the world of work. So I was wondering these Unit headings do any of you know, does the heading mean these assessments will be practical? or written? Will i be setting up my own business or writing about how one would set up a business and the same for the rest, does it have something to do with the difference between external and controlled assessment? my information sheet doesn't say much else about it and also do you think business studies is a good use for a GCSE? or am i wasting for my time? Thank you for the help.
