How can I become a movie director?

I really want to become a movie director and I want to know how. Is there some kind of collage class for it?

Watch a lot of movies and start making your shorts. Filmmaking can be learnt in part by books but I'd say experience will be even better. Make mistakes, learn from them. About class there are lots of them. Think about it this way - any class, or assignment, or job where it is required to 'stage' a scene and have actors speak lines from a 'script', the guy who manages everyone will be 'director'. You've gotta be a people person and a good motivator for starters. Diploma will not guarantee a job. Make movies. Make lots of them and learn. Look at how others had their start such as Robert Rodriguez.
