In your opinion, how can people help improve the educational system in a 3rd world country?

  I live in a 3rd world country and I am educated by a 3rd world country. They need to revamp the entire educational system at least that's what the critics say. The education system here is based on meritocracy. You do good, and you get rewarded for it. Because the work load is heavy and it's challenging, they have basically weeded out all the not so smart people, and all you have remaining are the cream of the crop. So this is what you should do if you think it needs to be improved:- 1. Start over from preschool to tertiary education. Re-examine the syllabus and what students are learning, 2. Evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching material. 3. Examine teaching methods and implement more effective ones. 4. Cater for children who may be 'slow learners', 'autistic' or have special needs. Here it's poorly done. So that's just 4 steps. There are others, but you'll need to specify a particular country and work with that.
