Which is the best film academy in London?

Where can I submit an independent film? Will the Academy accept it?

I want to know where all you can submit a short independent film. I know that you can submit it to film festivals like Cannes, TIFF and Sundance (my options so far). Also, will the Academy (the Oscars) accept any submissions or will they only go by box office or reception from the other film festivals if my film gets selected. Also, will my film go into theaters if it gets a good reception from the film festivals?

Festivals cost money but show it around as often as you can and hope word of mouth will be good I'm not sure about the Academy I'm sure someone on the festival circuit will be in the know Good Luck
