You have vista on one hard drive and xp on another and boot into each by changing boot disk in bios can you legally install software onto both hard drives as they are in the same computer?

Answer:
Might be legal If each OS is properly licensed, there is no problem. "Properly licensed" is the key. There are questions about whether you install the original OEM of xp on one drive and have a vista upgrade, of that same machine, on the other. Microsoft would probably say that once you install the upgrade, the license for the old OS is invalid.
