What events led to the independence of Ghana and Kenya?

Answer:
The colonial powers, like Britain, were weakened by WWII. That lead to Nkrumah, in Ghana to call for a national strike & to make demands for independence. On March 6, 1957 Ghana becomes the coloniy in sub-Saharan Africa to gain independence. Kenyatta is the man in Kenya who pushed for Britain to grant independence there. December 12, 1963 marked Kenyan independence day.
