When does bad breath go away after tonsillectomy?

Answer:
The patient will notice white patches in the back of the throat where the tonsils were, temporary scabs that fall off within the first 2 weeks. They give the patient bad breath which resolves once the area is fully healed. Can take up to 6 weeks.
