Web organizer software

I used both Webforia and Clickgarden. Now that they both have ceased operations, do you have any suggestions for robust software with the following features: 1.Save, store, and organize full web pages and other web selections (images, text, etc) 2.Tree based folder organization 3.Allows offline reading 4.Can be used with internet explorer, as well as other browsers, eg Net Captor, Opera 5.Is reliable enough to cope with thousands of stored web pages 6.Has win2000/win xp look and feel and compatibility. So far I am testing: Elib http://www.kzips.com/ Netpicker http://www.fastbrowser.net/netpicker/ Mybase http://www.wjjsoft.com/ I have rejected Web Whacker, Ask Sam, Black Hole, Info Recall. Would appreciate 3-5 other suggestions. Thanks PS From the now deceased Clickgarden help : "Clickgarden is a versatile new class of Internet software that includes an integrated browser, organizer, and viewer. A super-enhanced browser that incorporates an array of indispensable, easy-to-use content-management tools, Clickgarden lets you capture, organize, and share the information that matters most to you. Capture any page, any image, any text, or any part of a page with single-click or drag-and-drop ease. Each captured item is automatically inserted into the Clickgarden collection manager, where it's yours forever. Folders and miniature "thumbnails" make for easy organization and visual recognition." etc etc

Hi there, I believe I've found a few programs that offer what you're looking for. MetaProducts (http://www.metaproducts.com/) offers its Offline Explorer program which I find great for downloading and archiving sites for offline viewing. From their site: "MetaProducts Offline Explorer (OE) is a Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP program that allows you to download an unlimited number of your favorite Web and FTP sites for later offline viewing, editing or browsing. (HTTPS, RTSP and MMS downloads are supported in Offline Explorer Pro version.) OE also has many web development features that will allow you to easily edit, view or browse your downloaded Web pages (OE has a built-in internal browser.) One of OE strengths is to allow you to select (include or exclude) individual servers, directories, and files using keywords. " (http://www.metaproducts.com/mp/mpProducts_Detail.asp?id=1) Offline Explorer Pro offers many more advanced features can can be found at http://www.metaproducts.com/mp/mpProducts_Detail.asp?id=2. Both of these programs are free to try and can be downloaded from the URL's above, but if you like them Offline Explorer will cost you $30 while the Pro version comes in at $50. I've had many friends tell me that Teleport Pro (http://www.tenmax.com/teleport/pro/home.htm) is the best thing since sliced bread, and judging from all the awards it's received, they just might be right! I'm pretty sure it'll do everything you want, but you'll want to check out the site and it's features list (http://www.tenmax.com/teleport/pro/features.htm) just to be sure. Teleport Pro has a free evaluation version if you're interested in trying it out, and costs $39.95 to buy if you like it. Next up is WebCopier (http://www.maximumsoft.com/) "WebCopier is a powerful offline browser that records websites and stores them locally until you are ready to view them." I believe that this program satisfies all your above requirements and even incudes the ability to be skinned so you can customize the look and feel of the program even further. WebCopier is a shareware program, but the author asks that if you use it for 30+ days to register it for $30 US. There are quite a few other programs that basically do the same thing: WebZIP Offline Browser (http://www.spidersoft.com/webzip/default.asp) "WebZIP lets you download web pages or entire Web sites and save them onto your hard drive for much faster offline browsing or as an archive of your favourite sites. WebZIP lets you save all pages, images, sounds and other media types directly onto your hard disk." Cost: $39.95 for minor version upgrades, $59.95 for unlimited lifetime upgrades HTTrack Website Copier (http://www.httrack.com/index.php) "HTTrack is a free (open source) and easy-to-use offline browser utility. It allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure. Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack can also update an existing mirrored site, and resume interrupted downloads. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system." Cost: Free! Hope that's what you're looking for! If not, please feel free to ask for clarification.
