Hyperlink color problem in Powerpoint 2002
-
In a Powerpoint 2002 presentation, I'm trying to change the color of a hyperlink without changing the color of the accent. Please provide directions that will produce a satisfactory outcome as described below. I have a presentation that uses a dark blue background. The hyperlink currently blends into the background so as not to be visible. I would like it to be yellow or someother easily visible color. I have been approaching this problem by going to format/slide design/edit color scheme/, clicking on the "accent and hyperlink" box, change color, choosing a yellow color fromt the Standard tab, ok, and Apply. When I do this, the hyperlink color changes but the rest of the slide now has a yellow overlay (the accent, I suppose). The current accent is alight blue which produces a darker blue boarder which becomes lighter toward the center of the screen where the text lives. I'd like to retain the current background color and accent. I am already aware that I could make the background and accent very different and then the hyperlink would be visible. I have tried selecting the text that will become the hyperlink and changing its color to a yellow, but when I actually make it a hyperlink, it reverts back to the color of the accent.

Answer:
You can place your text inside an autoshape and link the shape instead of the text. This will prevent Powerpoint from reformatting the text.
