What are my chances on getting into UT Austin

  • Hello I applied to UT Austin for Nutrition in late Feb from Collin County Community College. This is my 3rd year at CCCCD I have a 3.0 I will be getting my associates degree and I submitted two letters of recommendation. I have not heard anything from the University yet and it seems that I have been waiting forever. I heard that the deadline is April 1st for them to get their rejection/acceptance letters out and now I'm worried. Do you think my chances of getting in are low?

    Don't panic! I have heard of people getting their acceptance letters as late as May! And if they have to get the letters OUT on April 1st, it means it will take the post office another week to get the letter to your mailbox. Trust me - universities as big as UT WILL take until the last possible minute to finish tasks like this. They also tend to wait and see how many high school seniors will turn them down so they can have more spots to offer to transfer students. Don't give up hope just yet! - Kat
