Does my non-profit 501c3 need to file a 990?

How can I talk to a real person at IRS about question related to form 990?

  • We are a 501-c-3 tax-exempt organization and we need to file form 990. We need to talk to a live person at IRS that would know how to answer our few questions. This is NOT for form 1040. I asked this question in March-- Question ID: 161920 but it turns out that the numbers I got are for an organization. I was referred to contact a lawyer or IRS. So--- you great Google Answers researchers, get me out of this pickle. I tried the 800 number that I was given but it is for 1040 and doesn't work anyway. What number to call for IRS help?
