What problems can be with Dell Flat Screen Monitor?

problem with my flat screen Dell monitor

• Hello Chris, The Dell flat screen Monitor I have was working fine  over a year and since a week the led on the front of the monitor, "Light", turns on/off at the time of the boot. It keeps on turning on/off several times till I either unplug the power cable or try to pull the cable from the back of the monitor. Please Help. Thanks Srini

  Try cleaning it out. Purchase some canned air from an office supply store. Unplug the monitor and use the canned air to blow out all the vent holes really well. Leave the mon itor unplugged for about 1 day. Then plug it back in and use the buttons on the front to load the factoty defaults or reset. While the monitor is sitting for a day and discharging you can check your video card. If you have an add on card you may just need to push it back in it slot. You'll need to open the case and actually push it in. A little bit means alot. It might be a good idea to clean out the computer itself with some canned air if its dirty. Also check for fans that have stopped working. You should be ok after that. You'd be surprised what dust builup will do to electronics.
