Laptop monitor goes black
-
I have Dell Inspiron 1100 XP Notebook Laptop w/ Office 2003. The screen will stay on for about 5 minutes and once it goes black I can bring it back up by selecting shft and F8 (or which ever function key says CRT). This will bring it back up for a few minutes. How I can fix this problem?

Answer:
Go to control panel and enter the power options. Go to the hybernation tab and turn it off. then go back to the power schemes tab and set that how you would like it to perform. I usually set everything to never power off. I can plug in usually if needed.
