Convert Ami Pro (.SAM) to word documents

  • i need to convert old ami pro files to word. I have Office XP, and do not want to install an older version of word, nor do i want to install Ami Pro, or other lotus word products. The previous converter pack for Office had AmiPro.cnv as part of the distribution, but this has been removed. Other applications to convert to word from ami pro are costly, and untried. What is the best and least expensive way to do this.

    Hi, and thanks for the question I've just done this myself. This one is free, and it works. Download the Amipro to Word converter from here: http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm Unzip it and install the file ami332.csv in the folder \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv You'll be able to see your amipro files when you try to open a file in Word. You'll get a warning message thast you're opening a non-word file, but then it opens up just fine. willie-ga Search used "amipro converter for word"
