• Hi there, This might be the dumbest question to ask, but i would like to know what is msn. I'm just learning about pcs emails and stuff and would like to know what is msn, how to use it and what it does, all I know its got to do something with email, i think.   Well mark it's not as dumb of a question as you thought. MSN stands for MicroSoft Network its a separate part of microsoft. But it has many parts, one of which is email with hotmail but they also have their own ISP (Internet Service Provider). So you can actually have the internet through microsoft. Netflix is a part of msn as well as msn instant messenger and many other products and services. So all and all they have a big portion of the internet.
