Will this remote work with my DVD player?

DVD player will not work with direct tv

• Have a sony LCD TV, Toshiba direct tv reciver, toshiba dvd player. Had a direct tv remote which worked with the dvd player and then the remote wentout. Have a new Direct Tv remote the D10 and called service help line to program the remote with the dvd player. All functions work to remote to dvd player. Cannot get a singnal from dvd player. Tried video1,2,3,4,5,channel no luck. No conections have been changed from direct tv box, dvd box to tv. All conections are hdm cables? they are thin and red. Have read all mannuels no luck? Called direct tv and they told us we would have to buy a new dvd player? We used to be able to get the componet feature on our sony Lcd tv with the old direct tv remote. Any help or sugestions?   Hello Austin, Get out the Sony remote control that came with the TV and see if it will go to the component inputs of the TV. Could be that the new DTV remote is not programmed to do this. Then try the DVD again. If no luck-- Try using the original Toshiba remote control that came with the DVD and see if you can get it going.
