TV: Samsung HP-T4264 HTIB: Samsung HT-X70 Satellite: Directv HD-DVR Receiver What are the best cables to use to connect these devices and how should I connect them? As of right now they're connected, but I don't think it's an optimal setup. Please help. Thank you.

Answer:
Hello Michael, The best cables to connect your system will depend on the "IN" and "OUT" ports you have on each component. The best way to connect Audio Video will be HDMI. The best way to connect Audio only will be Optical. The next best way to connect Audio will be Digital Coaxial. The next best way to connect Video is progressive scan. Your system: TV has 3 HDMI inputs. Your HTIB has 1 HDMI "IN" and 1 HDMI "OUT". Direct TV, I think if it is a HD-DVR it should have HDMI on it. So in my opinion: Please make sure you have connected, HDMI out of the HTIB to HDMI # 1 on your TV. Connect DVR HDMI "OUT" to HTIB HDMI "IN". Thanks
