Yeshiva/Jewish High Schools in France, Italy and Argentina (age 14-18)
-
I'm looking for a list of Yeshiva and/or Jewish High Schools in France, Italy and Argentina (grade 9-12 or age 14-18). I know the grade/age system is different in other countries. If someone could produce a list for me or point me in the direction where I could get such a list...that would be great! Thanks

Answer:
Dear Andy Thank-you. That is very kind of you. This link should take you to a list of Jewish schools in France: http://www.fsju.org/enseignement/ecoles.tpl To select high schools only, search for "Lycées". In the box labelled "Sélectionnez un mot clé" (Choose a key word) type in Lycée - or copy and paste - you must have the accent on the "é"!) Click on "Validez". (Go) You should now have a list of 46 lycées, or high schools. Clicking on the "i" will produce a pop-up window with contact details and further information. Not all the schools are co-ed. Filles = Girls Garçons = Boys Mixte = Co-ed Other words which might help: Collège = Middle School Secondaire = Secondary, i.e. Middle and High School Primaire = Elementary Maternelle = Kindergarten Enseignement = Teaching Information and links for various Jewish education groups in France: http://www.fsju.org/enseignement/reseaux.tpl Home page for the above website: Fonds Social Juif Unifié (Unified Jewish Social Fund) http://www.fsju.org/index.tpl I would be very happy to answer any queries you have about this, so do let me know if anything is unclear, or doesn't work properly. ============ This page has the list of links I mentioned for contacting members of the Jewish community in a number of Italian cities: Comunità Ebraica (Jewish Community) http://www.ucei.it/comunitaebraiche.htm Other possible sources of help with finding schools: Dipartimento Educazione e Cultura (Department of Education and Culture) http://www.ucei.it/areediattivita/dipartimentoeducazione.htm Rough translation of above page: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ucei.it%2Fareediattivita%2Fdipartimentoeducazione.htm&langpair=it%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools Unione Giovani Ebrei d?Italia (Italian Union of Jewish Youth) http://www.ugei.it/apps/portal.php I hope this information is a helpful start. Please do ask if I can clarify anything.
