What type of personality suits a profession as an EMT?

Answer:
Everyone is different but it takes a lot of heart and caring to be an EMT. I might be tired and cranky at 4 a.m. doing CPR, but I am nice to the family who just lost a loved one. EMTs and other medical professionals tend to lose compassion because they have seen and heard it all. so if you are coughing a lot and wonder why your friend who is an EMT didn't budge or ask if you are ok, it's cause you are still breathing and truly ok, if you fall over trust me they will help. As far as the job is concerned, it is the best job I have EVER had. There are images I truly wish I could forget, but the satisfaction of saving lives with your family of firefighters and EMTs is priceless. They say the job is 90% boredom followed by 10% of terror and fear... that's about right.
