Is 1800 a good SAT score?

Will a 3.25 GAP and a 78 average and an SAT score of 1800 be good enough to get into University of Connecticut?

  • Answer:

That information alone wouldn't be enough for someone to determine whether they would accept you or not. Most schools, the University of Connecticut included, base admission on more than just your numbers (SAT/ACT scores and GPA). This school has choosen different factors that they will consider. Some are more important than others. Very important factors: class rank, rigor of your secondary school record (how hard your high school classes were - were you taking Trig or Consumer Math type questions), standardized test scores, your acedemic GPA, and abilities/talents you have Important factors: your application essay (was it impressive or did it have seven typos on the first page type analysis), extracurricular activities, reccomendations, racial/ethnic status, volunteer work, first generation of college student Things that might be Considered: geographical residence, state residency, alumni relation, work experience, how interested the applicant is in the school (do they seem to really care about the school or is the school their 7th option?)
