• Hallo, Could anyone find me the weather stats for Paris, France in January, 1997? I was there that year and remember it being very cold. My friends keep telling me Paris is never really cold. Thank you, Can PS: is the category I chose OK?

  Hello can1972-ga Thank-you for your question. The weather statistics for Paris, France can be searched using the excellent Wunderground.com website and using their historical data. I have looked through the month of January for you and it appears that January 1st was the coldest day. On average it was 12°F/-11°C with a high of 15°F/-9°C and a low of 8°F/-13°C. The monthly averages for January 1997 can be viewed here: http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/LFPG/1997/1/1/MonthlyHistory.html?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA Note that the mean temperature for that month was 32°F/0°C. Obviously temperature is a subjective thing depending on where you are from; a scientist resident at the South Pole may consider the temperatures on 1st January positively balmy but I would suggest that a resident of Paris would find them *much* colder than average.
