Go through the steps they require until you get to the point where you need to put your resume into the text box. Now, open your documents folder from the start button, leaving your Internet browser window open. Select the resume file you want to use and open it. Once you have your file open there are three ways you can proceed to copy and paste the information on your resume into the text box. Follow either Step 3, Step 4, or Step 5. Click on the "Edit" menu button at the top left corner of the word processing screen. Then, click on "Select All." You'll notice that your whole resume has been highlighted. Open the "Edit" menu, again. Click on "Copy." Next, click on your browser window to go back to the page where you paste your resume. Position your mouse in the text box and right-click one time. A small menu will appear. Click on the menu item that says "Paste." Using your keyboard, press "Control" and "A" at the same time. All of the text in your resume should turn black, meaning it's been selected to be copied. Now, press the "Control" and "C" keys at the same time. It won't look like anything happened, but you just copied the information to your computer's clipboard. Bring your browser window back to the front so you can see the text box. Left-click inside the text box one time. Then, press "Control" and "V." With your mouse at the very top right of the word processing screen, click and hold the left mouse button. Still holding the button down, drag the mouse all the way to the bottom of the resume and let go. All of the information on the page should be highlighted. Place your cursor into the highlighted area and right-click one time. This will open a menu. Click on "Copy." Bring your browser window back to the front. Left-click inside the text box. When the menu opens, click "Paste." That's it. Your done copying and pasting your resume, with any of the above methods, and ready to go on the the next step of your job search. If you do it by accident, just right-click back in the empty space and click "Paste." It will put the information back on the page.
