I bought it because I have had good experiences with Canon cameras in the past, and because it is small and lightweight, and therefore, seemed like an ideal travel companion. But it CANNOT handle bright light. I tried every possible setting, and still, bright light shows up as white, and the rest of the picture is blurred or colors are all distorted. One good thing is the video setting - it shoots nice videos. But again, the bright light issue "overshadows" all the pros for me.
