I have Windows ME, and when I try to change network settings, I get an error saying that I don't have administrator rights. I am the only user on this computer, so why am I locked out?

Answer:
i've never heard of Windows ME. Anyhow, your network admin probably changed the settings. if you are the admin, someone who has access changed it.

The network settings are changed by the Systems Administrator, not the local machine adminstrator. It is likely, (and if your SA has any brains) that he set the policies on your system so that you would not be able to modify network settings, or access any other resource on the network without his/her express permission. Job security, y'know?
