What herbal products can remove facial hair?

Is it true that vinegar can remove hair color from hair? If not, then what home based products can remove hair dye?

I'm so glad I found this! I dyed my hair black, like I always do. I'm naturally a brown/black and I dye to cover the grey. Well, this time it came out awful. It looked like I dipped my head in a bucket of black shoe polish! First I tried washing it in Dawn dish soap and that helped a little bit. The next day I went to the drug store and got some Vitamin C gel caps. I split them open (six of them at 500mg each) and mixed them with about a table spoon of baby shampoo. Now, this is the step no one has mentioned so far, I wet my hair down before mixing in the shampoo and vitamin c. Don't know if I was supposed to do it that way or not. It might have worked better without wetting it first. If I ever have to do this again, I'll definitely do it on dry hair! Either way, I left it on for about 45 minutes because I didn't want to lighten it too much, just take the terrible flatness out of the color and lighten just a little bit. Anyway, it worked out just great. My hair is still black but it's a natural black now and I even have some highlights to it. This worked perfect for me and I'm sure that if I'd used the powder and left it on longer, I could have lightened it much much more! Thank you!!!

I have died my hair since I was 16 and I'm now 54, so I know a little bit about hair dye. I'm letting the gray come in naturally and trying to get rid of my existing hair dye. I used dish washing detergent to wash out the hair dye, which left me with this darken, dead color on the tips of my hair. I was just about to remove all the hair color and start over, when I read the suggestion for the Vitamin C mixed in to your shampoo. I took (6) 500 mg of Vitamin C tablets and crushed them to a powder, adding the powder to a quarter size of shampoo. I mixed the two together until it made a paste. I applied the mixture to my hair and let it sit for 60 minutes. When I washed the paste away, my hair looked FABULOUS!! That flat color on the ends was gone and my hair is beautiful. I can't believe this cure all hasn't been made public before. Thanks for the information!!

No, it's not true. You cannot remove color from your hair with anything that is typically hanging around your house. This is a process that is better left to a professional. It is complicated and can really damage your hair if you don't do it right. If you are detrmined to do this at home, visit a beauty supply store for products that are made to remove color from hair (they typically have many different products available depending on what you need). I dyed my hair hoping it would come out lighter than my natural color and at the same time cover the grey. It came out much darker than I expected. I found this site and tried the vitamin C and baby shampoo a day later. I made the paste and left in on my hair for approximately 40-45 minutes. It actually did the trick!! It lightened my hair 2-3 shades and it looks like how I originally wanted it to look. Thank you for this information!

The blonde hair color I applied came out way too dark. I, too, tried Vitamin C and baby shampoo. I had vitamin C crystals so I used them. All I needed was about 5-10 minutes on the hair--one has to watch, rinsed it off and it worked beautifully and it was the color I needed. No strong chemicals! Terrific remedy.

I've been using hydrogen poroxide to lighten my hair. Before I started using this,my hair was a really really dark brown. It almost looked black. I've put hydrogen poroxide in my hair more than a few times to lighten it more and more. The lighter it is, the easier it is to be lightened with this method. To bring out the highlights, I poured some lemonjuice into my shampoo. It left me hair absolutely wonderfuly colored. Just using the hydrogen peroxide on it may lighten it, but make it dull. I really suggest using the lemonjuice in your shampoo to bring out highlights. After a few washes with the shampoo, your highlights should be bright and nice. If you have a lighter color of hair, then you can always just put lemonjuice in your hair and sit outside for a bit so the sun can bleach it. This always works. All of these methods can damage your hair a bit, so use a great conditionder after each wash! I hope you get the hair color you want. I used this guide to lighten my hair with hydrogen peroxide. Remember you might not get immidiate results! repeat until you are satisfied. http://www.wikihow.com/Bleach-Your-Hair-With-Hydrogen-Peroxide

Once I think I want to change my hair color I am so quick to go buy hair color. I already had a pretty medium brown color but decided I wanted it more of a chocolate color. So I went and bought a medium brown color. My roots ended up a medium auburn while the rest of my hair ended up black. I just started a new job so I had to go my first day of work like that. So I started looking on the internet for ways to lighten it. In the past I have tried tide laundry detergent, dawn soap, diet coke, and everything else you could imagine. Then I came across this site. I was a bit sceptical but as soon as I got home I started going through the medicine cabinet. I found vitamin c with rose hips and some baby shampoo. I put is on my hair and waited 45 min. I was scared to wait any longer. When I rinsed I ease so happy to see the color going down the drain. It had lightened it about 3 whole shades. It was still very dark considering it started off black. So the next day I did it again. My husband didn't believe it would work so when I rinsed out my hair I put the stopped in the bath tub and showed him the dark brown/red water. It had lightened it another 2 shades. It blended so well with the roots and was so shiny. All I can say is wow and thank you. I am posting this page on my Facebook

Ladies, you are goddesses! The vitamin C worked!!!! I had tried everything to take the burgundy out of the awful semi-permanent color job I got today. I am a natural red head and had never colored my hair but just wanted to cover some intermittent gray. Needless to say, it wasn't pretty. I wet my hair before putting the vitamin C and shampoo paste on and wrapped it in saran wrap leaving it on for no more than 10 minutes. I could tell the color was fading so I rinsed. My hair is beautiful now. Like it was naturally 10 years ago. Thank you so much for this tip!

I tried this. I dyed my hair red, decided I didn't want to maintain it and didn't want to deal with growing out the roots. I bought some chewable vitamin C, ground up about 1/3 cup in the blender with some pantene shampoo, combed it into my hair and let it set for about 45 minutes. The color is still there. It might be more orange/coppery than it was. Also, even though I've been doing intense conditioning since, my hair is really dry and frizzy. I wouldn't recommend the vitamin C.

Be very careful if you go to the drugstore and purchase something. I went and used a "Hair color remover kit" and it took the color out of my hair but it also burned my scalp, and I literally had orange, yellow, WHITE!!, black, red and brown hair when I was done. there were spots and stripes, it was awful. I would suggest going to a perfessional myself. I had to go the the store, with a towel on my head, and purchase a hair color - dark red-bergundy, to cover up the mess. it worked, but the whole process fried my hair and I was right back were I had started, a head full of coloured hair.
