How do I transfer old psp memory to a new memory stick?

When I transfer MP3s to my PSP, they do not show up on my PSP as tracks, but they do take up space on the memory stick. I've tried reformatting the memory stick. What else can I try?

  • Answer:

You need to create a folder on the PSP named "MUSIC." Then put your MP3s in that. Then it will show up.

A good suggestion is that if you have the internet (which I'm sure you do, or else you couldn't read this) download Sony Sonic Stage, which allows you to turn music files on your computer or audio CDs into atrac files that can be transferred on to the PSP from there
