How can I fix a TV that shuts off randomly?

I have a 2 year old VCR/TV combo, and when I try to play a VHS tape, the TV shuts off. What can I do to fix it?

    There is probably nothing that you can do to fix this, since it is almost certainly a defect somewhere in the unit. Without circuit diagrams and a service manual for the unit, the problem cannot be diagnosed or repaired. This is one for the repair shop.
