What is the best treatment for a bee sting?

Answer:
If the stinger is still in the skin, do not PULL it out, rather rub across it with a key or credit card... something to make it come out.. afterward if you are out somewhere that you do not have meds, put mud on it. YES I said mud!! It relieves the pain and won't get infected from it. I'm a country girl and have been stung many hundreds of times over the years... it works!!

One Summer I steped on a bee barefoot and got stung. The pain was incredible. My girlfriend made a paste of baking soda and water and applied it to the site. The relief came within 15 minutes. Apparently the base of the baking soda countered the acid of the venom.

Apply a solution of one part meat tenderizer to 4 parts water. Papain, the enzyme in meat tenderizer, breaks down the protein in bee venom responsible for the pain and itching. Don't leave this on for more than 30 minutes, or it can irritate the skin. If this isn't available, you might try an antiperspirant. Aluminum chlorohydrate reduces the effect of bee venom, but to a lesser extent. An antihistamine such as Benadryl, taken by mouth, can give some added relief, and help prevent the reaction from spreading. A shake lotion such as calamine can be helpful. A paste made of baking soda and water can have a similar effect. Topical hydrocortisone can also provide some symptomatic relief. Give acetaminophen or ibuprofen for systemic pain relief. 1. Don't panic. You'd be surprised how many folks freak out. If you're near a hive, get away fast! 2. Decide if the person is allergic...ask, look for signs...ask. if so, dial 911 and/or go to the hospital. 4. Check if stinger is in, and pull it out with a tweezers. 3. The best cure I've ever found is calcium bentonite montmorillonite clay. Every home should have some in powder form. it is a natural antiseptic, analgesic, and detox. it will draw out the toxins and kill most of the pain. Mix into a paste and wrap in a kitchen cling wrap. it is absolutely cool and amazing. Also works on wasps, other insect bites and spider bites!

take a straight edge like a butter knife, card, etc. and scrape the stinger away if you have baking soda, mix that w/ water and put it where you were stung dont use tweezer or anything to pull it out b/c it will release the venom into your body.
