How do I connect the yellow video cable to my computer?

My computer has s-video and my TV just has the three input ports (yellow, red, white). What cable do I use to connect them?

  • Answer:

you attach the little yellow adapter thing to the video card(s-video-yellow rca cable) then attach the yellow rca cable to your tv. simple as that

I have the same problem as dodge27 & i tried changing my display settings & it says monitor number 2 "not active", i clicked on it & ticked "extend my windows desktop on this monitor & clicked apply, it goes back to default number 1 monitor & changes my settings automatically.. the color quality is kept is 16 bit & screen resolution is 800X600 pixels.. dont know what to do.. this all iv done with the S-video to Yellow AV cord connected to my laptop & TV. I even restarted my laptop & tried it as some say the settings only work after a restart. I tried pressing FN+F5 but it only shows a big rectangle with a laptop image on the left corner & nothin else changes.. my tv is blue screen as usual on AV1 & my laptop keeps runnin as nothng is suppose to change.. hehe.. iv been stayin up all nite to figure this thing out.. but just doesnt seem to work.. Can I connect a S-video cord to my DVD player & then a AV(yellow, red, white) to my TV? Will it work? My DVD player has a S-video slot. My TV doesnt support scart socket also so i can use a scart adapter too. Please have a look at the pic.. this is the kind of the cord i have. The 7 pin connects my laptop & the other end is a yellow jack for a AV cord, I connect one yellow pin in it & the other end yellow connects my TV. Hope this helps ull solving my problem. Thanks guys.. appreciate it.

Kid, sorry to sound harsh, but if you can't get what people have pointed out in their answers, do what I suggested, take it to your vendor. No one can magically do it for you, here, if you can't read what they've responded. I'm done.
