How do I treat a blood blister?

I have a type of blood blister thing on the palm of my hand that has been there for months. I've tried treating it like a wart, but it doesn't go away. What is it? How should I treat it?

  • Answer:

I get those when accidentally pinch my fingers. I wait a day and stick it with a needle. The junk comes out. Then I put some sort of antibiotic salve on it and cover it with a band-aid. It heals up in a few days.

Go to a doctor - dermatologist might be best. ANYTHING medical you have that hangs around for months (or even 2-3 weeks) and doesn't heal or get better is a warning sign and needs a doctor's attention, or you could be playing with something very serious. Go to a doctor if you want an accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Did you try seeing the doctor? I had a broken blood vessel on the back of my leg and I got it lasered off. Try seeing a dermontologist or one that specials in lasers.

Did you pinch a good chunk of your flesh in that spot? If my boyfriend pinches himself at work realy hard, on a calloused part of his hand it can take months to disapear. Maby all you need is some time and moisturizer to make that part of your hand softer. If you do have a calous there, you can purchase files at and drug store to get rid of the problem.
