I downloaded some videos from google video for my PSP, and put them in the 100MNV01 folder in MP_ROOT, but when I disconnect the PSP, it says the data type is not supported. I know they're MP4, so what's going on? Thanx.

Ok This is one of the easiest ways 1.Go to This Site and download the program http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1463 2.Select your flv and start converting 3.When it's done it says Click ok to upload then click ok [make sure your psp is connected] 4.when it's done the video should play 5.make sure when you put in vids manually put it in the video folder. An easier way is if you just download this (link at end of paragraph). I know it says you tube to I-POD convertor but you can just set it to psp. then just put the videos in you psp video folder and it will work. As for what's going on as far as i can tell there are different mp4 format versions. some work on the psp and some don't. nooo look i though the same wen i puted movies on my psp for the first time but no all u gotta do is download a movie thats MP4 format then just go to videos folder and put it there if u dont have that folder then just format ur memory and u will see it then u putit there and ur good to go...i have some sites where u can download mp4 formated movies and sites where u can convert youtube vids so if u got aim or msn send me a message ill help u out ;-) (msn) puertoricanj14 (aim)

Google video and youtube are a type of flash. The extention is .flv. There are players (free) for these files and converters. just google .flv converter. or .flv player. Google files are not .mp4. If you use firefox get the extension "video downloader" won't work with firefox 2.0 or go to http://www.youtubex.com you'find more info there. go here http://vixy.net to convert to a variety of formats. .avi Divx etc mpeg4 (.mp4) Once you have it converted to .avi or a other format you then can convet it again to a different format. I use "Virtualdub" it's free and works very well. Easy to use also. I reccommend getting a codec pack such as "ACE mega codec pack" (free) or "Nemo codec pack" (free) this will allow your computer to play %95 of all file formats out there. When you use youtube to convert at http://www.vixy.com make sure the youtube page (The video you want to convert is closed) Just copy and paste the video URL in to the vixy addy box. You may have to try different video players . example: one file might play in windows media classic, but not new windows media player. Winamp will play mp4's or go to http://www.archive.org and get a free .mp4 (mpeg4) player
