I HAVE A 95 GMC W/ A 305 V-8 THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE READS 5 LBS PRESSURE WHEN IDOLING BUT THE TRUCK RUNS FINE.IT HAS A NEW OIL PUMP. IT DONT BURN OIL,OR LEAK. WHATS WRONG WITH THIS THING?

It is normal for older engines to read low oil pressure at idle. What does it read at 1500-2000 rpm? Anything over 40 lbs would be normal for an engine of this age. You may also want to verify the accuracy of the dash gauge by hooking a mechanical pressure gauge to the port where your existing sending unit is now.
