How can I fix my old tube TV tuning?

I have a 27 in regular tube flat screen TV. I have started noticing a shrill buzz sound when the TV is on for about an hour. It is not right from the moment I turn on the TV. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and is there a fix?

  • Answer:

When electronics go bad a transistors or resistor they heat up too much and then they loose their ability to function. Then the sound system will make those shrill sounds. Other components may aslo influence the sound system going out. As always make sure you are well grounded on the tv and anything else the TV is hooked to. Ungrounded circuits can create havoc. Most likely though a transistor or resistor has worn out or lost its connection on the board from heat over a long period of time. If the TV is over ten years old highly probly that it is worn out.
