Im 19 years old I am at a point in my life where I need to be around positive people. My parents are completely negative and narrow minded. They hold everything they pay for over my head like a debt I need to payback what should I do.

Think about getting a job and becoming independent.

Definitely remove yourself from your toxic situation. Find some good books about positive thinking and the law of attraction; study them, and take them to heart. Well if my son called me negative and narrow minded, I too would be disappointed in him. You are still at an age where you are right and the world is wrong. Conflict and struggle works two ways, requires involvement by both parties. I'm sure they would like to see you strive for independence, but at the same time want you to appreciate what you have. Are you by any chance taking advantage of them and their generosity? Are you demanding respect while giving none? Do you complain about things that you did not buy nor contribute to? Do you have a job? If so, are you saving up for a place of your own, for a car, for your own car insurance, or do you spend it on yourself and recreation and leave it to mom and dad to pay the bills? There is a lot that you are not telling us. The first thing I would recommend you do is examine yourself and see how much you are contributing to the 'negative and narrow mindedness' of your parents. Is there anything that you can do to ease the tension?
