The dvd player that we connected via an s video cable will not allow any of the movie sound to come thru - even when the dvd is playing, the tv audio is coming thru. My tv is connected to a digital converter box. Any suggestions?

Answer:
If i'm thinking correctly, you still need to connect an audio cable from the dvd player to the television. S-video is just that, VIDEO. You need an additional audio connection.
