There were 710 housing units at an average density of 271.4/km sq (704.0/mi sq). The racial makeup of the borough was 99.17% White, 0.06% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.06% from Race (United States Census)other races, and 0.38% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.13% of the population. There were 662 households out of which 28.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.2% were Marriagemarried couples living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.0% were non-families. 26.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.85.
