Are light cigs more addictive?

I have been hiding that I smoke from my husband for about 5 yrs now. He lets me smoke cloves, but he quit smoking cigs about 18 years ago. it really bothers me and I feel like I'm lying to him everytime I light up. How do I tell him w/o him going nuts?

    Well, I am in a similar situation, just the other way around. I quit smoking about 2 years ago. My husband "keeps trying" to quit, but every time I KNOW he is hiding it again after a few weeks. Every time he hides it and lies about it, I get all mad and freek out. NOT for doing it, (I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS) but for lying about it. BUT, I know he just doesn't want to disappoint me. This time I am not saying anything. That's it. It is his battle, and I love him no matter what. Maybe by trying so hard to hide it, he won't smoke as much as if he knew that I knew. I am going to try something different. I suggest that you really do QUIT smoking. Then you won't have anything to hide. Wouldn't it be easier if you had your husband's support? Admit that you made a mistake and ask for help. I know it is hard. You can do it, though. GOOD LUCK!

He knows. he is playing the game along with you because it is easier than confronting you about it. It only takes one of you to break the silence. It is interfering with your emotional intimacy. It may not be a comfortable conversation, but it may help. It's really up to you though.

The best way would be to just tell him the truth. But without you knowing he already knows you are smoking and just has not told you. Cause after 5 years of smoking the smell from the cigarettes are in your clothes and hair.
