How do I get my mail back from then in box at outlook?

How do I get rid of this annoying box, which is suddenly popping up in my Outlook: "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus an you should choose No."

  • Answer:

Really hard to give a good answer based on the amount of data given. Another program is trying to access addresses in your contact list. This could be legit, or a virus. Apparently it's also been caused by borked installations of Adobe Acrobat. Start with a virus scan, see if any other programs are trying to use your address list. Here's a few from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838871 : • IHateSpam • SpamNet • Norton • AntiSpam • HotBar • Smiley Central • ActiveX programs for Palm Pilot software Palm's Hotsync v4.1.0 • NewsGator Acrobat add-in for Word Incredimail for Outlook plug-in Cloudmark
