How do you learn to sing? Or at least fix the "off key" problem? and can you learn to sing on your own? I want to try to fix my "off key" problem, I like to sing but just seem to really lack the ability to sing. I have this "off key" problem very often.

Well if you want simple quick fixes to off key. Try controlling your breathing, If you want to let out a high note push lots of air out of your mouth with sound, if you want to get a deeper key push air out slowly. Try using C or some letter to do this with. You'll notice as more air flows out of your mouth faster, the eaiser it is to make a higher note. And if you want a deeper not push air out slower. Now try practicing this with your favorite songs, you might be surprized that hitting the notes will come eaiser. Some will take a lot more work. But that is a start

Take some voice lessons. It is the same when learning to play an instrument, and there are professionals out there to coach and teach you to whatever level you want to achieve. They usually charge by the hour, and probably a few lessons will help you fix your basic problem.
